Nueva Andalucía is located in the municipality of Marbella, close to Marbella town and directly adjacent to Puerto Banús.  The boundary of Nueva Andalucía is marked by the bullring on the mountainside of the N340.

As its name suggests it is an area comprising of entirely new urbanisations and villas, mainly as an extended residential area for Puerto Banús.  The closeness to Puerto Banús and Marbella makes this area popular with both tourists and full-time residents alike, as does the view of the Sierra de Ronda mountain range.

Nueva Andalucía is very popular with golfers as there is a multitude of courses including Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha Golf and La Dama de Noche, which is floodlit during the night.

There is a market by the bullring on Saturday mornings, which always has a good supply of linens, a vast array of imitation designer watches, clothing and the usual local pottery and nick knacks.  Also by the bullring is Vultures Videos, several restaurants, a vet, bars, coffee shops and offices.

Situated at the Plaza Hotel is one of the coast's most popular and well attended casinos. A fairly high minimum bet is in place so budget for the occasion; on your birthday you may even be treated to free entry.

For anyone settling in the area on a permanent basis there are several schools, including the international Aloha College.
 
The beach is 1100m long and 30m wide, made up of fine golden sand and was given a Blue Flag in 1992.  Several water sports are available and practiced, such as windsurfing, jet skiing, pedalos, etc. Among the services offered there are four beach clubs with swimming pools and six beach restaurants with sun beds.
