Miraflores is located in one of the most beautiful resorts on the Costa del Sol.  It is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola on Mijas Costa and only 30 minutes drive from Málaga International Airport.

Miraflores is part of Mijas Costa; only recently developed and consisting of urbanizations and golf courses catering for a growing number of ex-pat residents and holidaymakers. 

Miraflores was mostly farmland two decades ago; the landscape dotted by the odd farmhouse and outbuildings, the roads were dirt tracks and the area was not a place people would visit.  However, it was beautiful and the local elders (mainly men) could be found under the shaded tree outside the old bar, generally playing cards.  The bar was the place to meet people, to buy groceries and to sell on produce.

The beach is only five to ten minutes walk from Miraflores.  It not only offers water sports such as windsurfing, water-skiing and catamarans, but also other sports facilities such as tennis and bowling.

Miraflores Golf was designed in 1990 by Falco Nardi and is situated 2 kilometres from the N340 in the hills of Miraflores.   The course and clubhouse have excellent views; a golfer’s paradise. The clubhouse has a bar, restaurant and Miraflores Golf also provides a driving range and an excellent golf school.

Riviera del Sol is a popular destination on the Costa del Sol due to its own microclimate and over 300 days of sunshine each year. 

It has its own golf course and clubhouse where you can play tennis or attend the golf academy.  You can find many other sports in the local area, just 5-10 minutes drive away, including windsurfing, water-skiing and catamaran trips.

The town also has several small stores, restaurants and bars, including a Pizzeria and a Chinese, within easy walking distance of the holiday complexes. The shops are opposite the very peaceful and popular Princess Diana Park and a new OpenCor supermarket has recently been constructed.
