Cabopino is situated on the western Costa del Sol, halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella at exit 195 of the A7 (old N340) nestled in a forest of pine trees which stretch all the way down to the beach.

Although Cabopino offers many attractions to the land lubber visitor it is easy to forget that the port is essentially a typical Spanish working marina and will continue to be so for many more years.

In the not too distance past the marina scenes in the 1980's ill fated BBC soap  El Dorado were filmed in Cabopino.

This is the perfect spot to moor up and enjoy the seclusion and romance of the coast. The addition of water sports, restaurants and bars are recent to this little oasis.

The beach is popular by day time and is littered with restaurants, cafés and bars, but it is in the evening that it really comes into its own. The water front is lit up by the good quality restaurants surrounding the marina and is added to by the low density and high quality of the surrounding buildings. There are several good restaurants and prices are as you would expect for the more exclusive areas along the coast.

The marina has 169 berths and if you have your own boat berths are available for a daily charge.  Also, if you fancy water sports activities it is possible to charter a cruise or hire water skiing equipment.

There is also a nudist beach on the Marbella side of Cabopino.
